Former Chief of Staff of the Air Force, retired General Norton Schwartz, visits the 618 AOC

Last week, retired USAF General Norton Schwartz, former Chief of Staff of the Air Force, visited senior leaders at the 618 AOC to learn more about our mission and to offer his encouragement to our personnel for the great service they provide to our national security. The 618 AOC is proud of the legacy built under the guidance of past leaders like Schwartz and will continue to lead the way when it comes to supporting our Airmen around the world.

Last week, retired USAF General Norton Schwartz, former Chief of Staff of the Air Force, visited senior leaders at the 618 AOC to learn more about our mission and to offer his encouragement to our personnel for the great service they provide to our national security.

Schwartz served as the 19th Chief of Staff of the Air Force from August 12, 2008, until his retirement in 2012. He also previously served as the Commander of US Transportation Command from September 2005 to August 2008.

As the Department of Defense's largest Air Operations Center, the 618 AOC provides unrivaled command and control across the full spectrum of mobility operations. Together, AOC personnel manage the 24/7 logistical support our warfighters need to achieve mission success; Anytime, anywhere.
